During Jan-Dec 2015, India has a total import of US $ 4.5 Billion from Japan.The top products imported from Japan are PETROLEUM OILS, ETC, (EXCL. CRUDE)/ PREPARATIONS THEREOF, NES , NAVIGATION VESSELS,FLOATING OR SUBMERSIBLE DRILLING/PRODUCTION PLATFORMS , , FERRO-ALLOYS , PARTS AND ACCESSORIES OF THE MOTOR VEHICLES OF HEADINGS 87.01 TO 87.05 which is 31.25% , 7.63% , 6.94% , 3.15% , 2.45% . of the total imports of these products to India respectively.

The major import trading port of India’s import trade from Japan are Mangalore Sea, Jnpt, Magdalla, Kakinada, Calcutta Sea contributing about 50.95 % of the total imports from Japan.

In the year 2015, the import value of PETROLEUM OILS, ETC, (EXCL. CRUDE)/ PREPARATIONS THEREOF, NES was US$ 1.4 Billion as compare to 2014 which was US$ 2.2 Billion, which is a increase of 38.382% and NAVIGATION VESSELS,FLOATING OR SUBMERSIBLE DRILLING/PRODUCTION PLATFORMS was of US$ 341.1 Million as compared to US$ 352.7 Million in 2014, which is a increase of 49.164% .
